The Louisiana Watercolor Society is celebrating the 50th anniversary with a workshop on painting gold.

Kathy will share techniques for painting a gold subject with watercolor.  She enjoys passing along “Tips of the Trade” and will demo some products like gold gesso and gold watercolor paint.  Students will each receive a small 1 oz. sample size of the gold gesso to try out, included as part of the tuition.  Students can bring older paintings to embellish or create new designs.

Bring your usual painting supplies (paper, paint, brushes, etc.)

Optional:  Bring old paintings that you might want to embellish and any gold paint that you already have.

Kathy is an award winning artist who has earned signatures in several watercolor societies including NWS and a Master Signature in the Louisiana Watercolor Society.  Her paintings have been published in Watercolor Magazine , Best of Watercolor:  Painting Light and Shadow, Splash 8 , Confident Color by Nita Leland and The Artistic Touch 4 & 5 by Chris Unwin. .
