Cheri Fry, LWS
Urban and rural influences of South Louisiana gave rise to Cheri’s interest in art. Lessons in light began in her early teens from miles in the saddle watching light filter down to the woodland floors or observing the color changes of distant tree lines as days began and ended. Learning to capture these experiences began at age 14 with her first art instruction in Baton Rouge under Larry Casso. In 2019, she enrolled at the Art Student League in New York for the summer semester. Never far from her paintbrushes while pursuing a graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology and then retiring as a Speech Pathologist; time was always dedicated to painting. Cheri’s art is found in many permanent collections and has been published in books and magazines.
