Yvette Creel, LWS
Yvette Creel is a watercolor artist and a senior graphic designer in the Greater New Orleans area. She was born in Louisiana sometime in the early 70’s and is actually still alive. It was in Baton Rouge that she first began to study art at the age of 11 with Larry Casso. Through several classes, teachers, and competitions, she came to graduate from Loyola University in New Orleans with a degree in Advertising, a minor in Graphic Art, and a focus on print design. Graduate studies in Houston later included classes in figure drawing and creative digital media. Her MFA is in Graphic Arts, and it’s from LSU in Baton Rouge.

Yvette is responsible for a comedy series called the Scary Little Bunnies which can be seen at scarylittlebunnies.com and on everyone’s favorite, Instagram. In addition to the creativity of her illustrations, Yvette continues to paint nature and its patterns using a vibrant pallet and playful light sources.
Yvette is a signature member of the Louisiana Watercolor Society. She looks forward to judging the show this spring.
